Papalala Za Ongwala (the wings of the Eagle)

All of the proceeds from the sale of Shirley's paintings go to the Eagle Wings Christian Family. Eagle Wings is Chiomba Nkhanga  in Chchewa.  Eagle Wings is made up of a very small group of Christians, who support five local Malawian missionaries and their families in their work. Eagle Wings is not a charity organisation, instead it aims to help Malawians to become self sufficient. https://www.facebook.com/wingsofmalawi/

Isaiah 40:31 “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles they will run and not grow weary they will walk and not be faint.”

July 2025 sharing the Gospel -

Sharing the word of God and their own language

The navigators have been a great success both in the north and the south of Malawi.

They have been shared in the prisons And hospitals. People have been baptised

And hungry to learn more about Jesus.

We thank our hard-working Rev And Pastors For their dedication and love. To those more needy than themselves. As they sacrifice their own resources and food and time helping others. They are humble.

Reverend Stephen and pastor Kestina In the north

Pastor Kennedy and Kondwani In the north

Rev Julius and Edina in the south.

Rev Charles and Odita in the south.

July 2025

( photo taken with permission)

Rev Stephen and  Pastor Kestina Came across this man lying on the grass outside the hospital waiting to be seen. He is riddled in cancer and he was hoping for painkiller. They prayed with him and gave him a navigator Bible in his own language.

Sadly, he was sent home because the hospital didn't have any painkillers. As the United Nations no longer supply Malawi.

So poor man had to make his way home suffering.

He lives 15 km from the hospital.

Our Pastor will visit him.

Testimony from our Pastor Kestina

Testimony of Pastor Kestina written by Kestina
I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ. My short testimony how I came to know Jesus Christ as my lord.
When I was  four year my parents sent me to live with my grandmum whom taught me to pray .
Sometimes she showed me  trees saying they are God's creation.
At eight years I started singing in a junior choir and proved a good leader. At ten years I knew many friends some of whom led me astray
It was at  fourteen year I had a dream which showed me  a woman dressed in purple skirt and a white blouse.I ignored
I had then a second dream that showed me preaching to multitudes but I wanted to become a nurse. Once a Presbyterian Rev came to see me and my grandmum but I went to hide. until he left.
At sixteenyears I started  having a bad headache. Against my grandma’s wishes my parents took me to a witch doctor.
but I got worse. I failed my school exams., because of headache.
When I got married just in three months that dream of purple skirt and white blouse came again but I did not tell my husband Pastor Steven.
Then two years after marrying God revealed to me to work for Him.When the third dream came about preaching  I started going with my husband to  open air rallies where one day a very small woman was preaching about man's sins and the need to repent and accept Christ as the only saviour through faith. She asked the sick to go Infront to be prayed a thing I did quickly she never touched me but she  turned her eyes straight to me for almost two minutes I was healed.Later I was daily compelled to go to door to door exangelism with my husband and this spirit grows in me daily .I thank Eagle Wings to  come in to help me and my husband fulfil the role of a preacher  to work side by side with Steven Some of my already started tasks are Bible study groups, teaching married women on successful marriages, and knitting for newborns
I pray and Thank God for you my fellow women and men of God for you are a gift to me.
( interestingly the Baptist woman’s uniform is white blouse and purple head dress and Skirt) now am a pastor. I’m preaching to many woman.

Pastor Charles in Blantyre June 2025

Working together Pastor Charles with my wife Odita is going well. June 2025

We are used to visit hospital twice a week and if we have members who are admitted we increase our visit.
At prision our visit is not often about once per month.

On average through my preaching average per month 5 peaple accept Christ as their Lord and Savior.
My favorite scripture is Genesis 50:19-20.
My favorite hymn is "Take up the cross and follow me, I heard my master say"
One of the best sermon I preached was titled "Characters of the godly man" It was from Matthews 1:18-25.
The first point was righteousness.
Joseph righteous in his heart.
The second point was patience.
Joseph was patience enough after learn that Mary was pregnant.
The third point was tolerance.
Joseph accepted the advice of God through the Angel. He took the role of the father of Jesus by naming and caring Jesus.

On challenges one of major the challenge is the school fees of both the children and myself. I wanted to persue with my education in theologian . To enhance my calling.
Righteousness my late child is at nursery school.the only one not needing school fees.
Apart from my children, I am also supporting Alice with school fees upon knowing that she is a needy student. She is in form one.

For future I hope to do my masters in Theological Christian leadership.

The support of money that I am receiving from Eagle Wings Ministry helps .
Being in Town I don’t have crops and it’s more expensive buying food and rent etc. However in the past my fellow pastor Julius has helped me.
With thanks for the much needed support.
Pastor Charles Tsegula.
