February 2026
About Our EWM Malawi director
Written by
Veronica Mughogho
I’m writing to provide information about my work with EWM (Eagle wings Ministry) in Malawi .
I have been involved with EWM since May 2020, coordinating ministry activities here in Malawi, ensuring our pastors' work runs smoothly in remote areas and reaching many souls.
Background:
I am a Dpt physiotherapist by profession and currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Social Work (3rd year). My role with EWM is voluntary, driven by my passion for the ministry. I am also a prayerful person, and prayer is an integral part of my involvement with EWM.
Key Activities:
- Coordinating different activities here in Malawi to make sure our Pastors are reaching many souls
- Facilitating reporting and communication with EWM leadership
- Interacting with pastors on tasks, support, and workload management
- Providing monthly wages to the Pastors and 3 Orphans
- Handling bank transactions (deposits, online transfers)
- Monitoring ministry progress and providing feedback
- Identifying areas of need and proposing solutions
- Collaborating with our leader, Shirley, to keep her updated on ministry activities
Support to Pastors:
We equip pastors with resources to effectively spread God's word, including:
- Motorbikes for outreach in villages
- Bibles for those who can read and Bible audios for those who can't read ( in Local language)
- Solar lights for night time visits and preaching
- Speakers for wider reach during sermons
- Projectors for film screenings to spread gospel
- Flyers with Bible messages for distribution
- Provisions for prison and hospital ministry (food, clothing, spiritual materials)
Additional Responsibilities:
- Coordinating Yearly gatherings for pastors to share experiences and learn
- Translating messages for a pastor who doesn't speak English
- Facilitating distribution of different resources
- Encouraging pastors and providing spiritual support
- Reporting on ministry impact and progress
Our goal is to empower pastors to win souls for Christ in remote areas.
After visiting Australia in 2024 my role has increased as I volunteer in-between studying And my part time job. Looking after my family -It’s my passion to see the work of God through EWM team.
