Papalala Za Ongwala (the wings of the Eagle)

All of the proceeds from the sale of Shirley's paintings go to the Eagle Wings Christian Family. Eagle Wings is Chiomba Nkhanga  in Chchewa.  Eagle Wings is made up of a very small group of Christians, who support five local Malawian missionaries and their families in their work. Eagle Wings is not a charity organisation, instead it aims to help Malawians to become self sufficient. https://www.facebook.com/wingsofmalawi/

Isaiah 40:31 “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles they will run and not grow weary they will walk and not be faint.”

Rev Charles February 2026 in Blantyre

February 2026 Written by Rev Charles
I think the best way of spreading the gospel is through one on one evangelism, door to door evangelism, open air meeting, discipleship and supporting the people with Bibles.
As of now we haven't yet shown Jesus' firm. The weather was very bad on the planned dates. So are planning to have in March.
The motor bike is very beneficial to the ministry. I am saving both time and money when using the motor bike. I am able to reach both short and long distances easily.
Yes I have time with my family especially during family after every dinner. I and my wife we usually work together especially in ministry. We visit the members together, she teach women, we pray together in our prayer group, teaching and preaching in the church together.
I usually work hard to support my ministry like doing some businesses like farming. I usually use the little money I have to sacrifice for the progress of the ministry.
This year we are planning to plant churches of which the Chichewa Bibles are needed if funds will be available.
Yes the cost of living is very high. But I thank God that we are saving little by little. My prayer is to have enough piece of land for farming.
Yes we are praying for more believer to join and be committed with the word of God. I am also praying for the next intake to be enrolled.
I am praying for my children who will be writing examinations in June. In this year I have started discipleship class in the church and I plan to reach many people in different churches. The plan of starting masters is still on.
Our new members are steady.

We have just had a very good service today with one man joining us who said he heard of our church messages on Sundays how we conduct them and admired to fellowship with us daily. One encouraging part of the Eagle Wings Church in Mzuzu is  that it has turned the hearts of many people around this village because of scripture expounding and visitation to villages offering prayer to members and non members. With now instruments and Jesus film  we believe God will in His great plan give us direction. We have again this evening been praying for the Donars in Australia their kind hearts. Thank you on behalf of of EWM Malawi team.

Our goal is to empower pastors to win souls for Christ in remote areas.
After visiting Australia in 2024 my role has increased as I volunteer in-between studying And my part time job. Looking after my family -It’s my passion to see the work of God through EWM team.
