Papalala Za Ongwala (the wings of the Eagle)

All of the proceeds from the sale of Shirley's paintings go to the Eagle Wings Christian Family. Eagle Wings is Chiomba Nkhanga  in Chchewa.  Eagle Wings is made up of a very small group of Christians, who support five local Malawian missionaries and their families in their work. Eagle Wings is not a charity organisation, instead it aims to help Malawians to become self sufficient. https://www.facebook.com/wingsofmalawi/

Isaiah 40:31 “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles they will run and not grow weary they will walk and not be faint.”

March 2023 Cyclone Freddy

The images are too graphic to post on this Eagle Wings web site.

Like a lifeless body of a small child been lift off a rock in the water. The faces of the Malawians whom have lost everything including their Families. Total Deaths close to 400 and still counting. Many will never be found under the Mud. Heartbreaking.

Hundreds of children cowded into chlly damp classrooms. in Naotcha Camp Blantyre. But despite being hungry and cold they sing songs of hope. Over half affected by cyclone Freddy are children. Sadly cholorea is on the  rise. They had very little before but now with all crops washed away. With the lack of drinking water. Food and clothes and any shelter. How can we ignore. Pray, give, go and help.

Helping after Cyclone Freddy

We have raised funding to help as many victims as possible, with food and water, blankets.

Pastor Charles and Veronica our Coordinator, together wiht her friend Miriam, have been out everyday.

So far they have visited and helped. Naotcha primary school where people are sheltering. It was well organized.

Then they visited another camp the next day Miriam Mumba escorted to give a hand. she donated a lot of her childrens clothers. Ndiklande is another area they visited affected by Freddy Cyclone. It had a large population like chilobwe, machinjire, and other areas. Thoousands and thousands of pleople needed drinking water urgently. They gave to the pregnant women first.

Next day they visited individual families that cannot get to any camp place
